Head Delegates

Head Delegates are student leaders who are responsible for informing their institution’s delegates about NDSA and upcoming meetings, submitting a roster of all voting and non-voting delegates prior to each meeting, informing their student body about NDSA, and serving as a contact point for NDSA on their campus.

To do this, they work directly with the NDSA’s Executive Team.  Policies on selecting Head Delegates differ based on the institution, but it is required that a policy be in place to do so.  If you’re interested in joining or learning more about NDSA, contact your institution’s Head Delegate with the information listed below.

 

BISMARCK STATE COLLEGE               
Blaize Morris

Blaize is from Reno, Nevada, but now lives in Bismarck, North Dakota. They major in computer science and currently serve as head delegate and vice president of BSC’s student government. A fun fact about Blaize is that they have double jointed elbows. This year, Blaize is looking forward to seeing all the different institutions and meeting all the faces!

 

DAKOTA COLLEGE OF BOTTINEAU
Skyla Louttit

Skyla is from Melita, Manitoba, Canada. She is currently attending DCB for pre-pharmacy. Currently, she serves as president for DCB’s student government. A fun fact about Skyla is that she is one of the goalies for the women’s hockey team at DCB. This year, she looks forward to meeting new people at NDSA.

 

 

DICKINSON STATE UNIVERSITY      
Darion Brown

Darion Brown is from Lacey, Washington. Darion is majoring in exercise science with aspirations to become a physical therapist. A fun fact about Darion is that he really likes Legos and collecting cars. This year, Darion looks forward to participating in the NDSA conferences and learning more about how Darion can help change things.

Grant is from Crosby, ND and currently studies Business Admin/Accounting. Grant currently serves as president of Mayville’s student senate. A fun fact about Grant is that he plays a five handicap in golf. This year, Grant looks forward to improving our universities for students.

MINOT STATE UNIVERSITY             
Tam Vu

Tam is originally from Vietnam and is currently a sophomore attending MiSU for Computer Science. Tam served as the director of Finance and Operations in the school year 2021-2022. He hopes to better represent the voice of the student body from Minot State University. Tam can study for hours straight without breaks in his own room!

Briar is from Wahpeton, N.D., and is currently studying psychology. She currently serves as NDSCS’ vice president for student senate. This year, Briar looks forward to continuing to advocate for students.

Phillip is from Mendota Heights, M.N., and is currently majoring in Pharmacy. At NDSU’s student government, Phillip serves as executive commissioner of external affairs. A fun fact about Phillip is that he can put together an Ikea dresser using the Swedish instructions. Phillip looks forward to making connections with other students and legislators and advocating for the NDSU students this year.

Madeleine is from Saint Paul, M.N., and is majoring in aviation management and aviation safety and operations. A fun fact about Madeleine is that she is a three-time chili cookoff winner. This year, Madeleine looks forward to advocating for the greater good of students and getting more people involved in NDSA.

Cherokee is from New England, North Dakota, and is majoring in English Education and minoring in music. She currently serves as head delegate of VCSU’s student government. A fun fact about Cherokee is that she has a Calico cat named Smoked Salmon. This year, she looks forward to advocating for the students and getting to meet all the new people coming to NDSA.
